Student Matinees
Educators—bring your students to the theatre! Public schools can attend our Student Matinee performances for free. Stay a few minutes after the performance for a talkback in which the actors will answer questions that your students may have.
Fill out and submit the application form to let us know you are interested in having your class attend our student matinee performances. After submitting the application form, a staff member will review it and contact you to inform you of the status of your application. Registration priority is given to partner schools.

Student matinees are free for public schools. There is a $5 fee per person for private schools.
Partner schools are schools that have made a commitment to supplement the educational learning with an arts-integrated curriculum for a four-week residency structure. Partner schools are limited in the availability of teaching artists and funding. We do not require schools to pay for this partnership, rather they will need to provide approximately 20 hours of time from educators as prep; and to supply the classroom with handout materials.
At this time we have reached the maximum capacity of partner schools, but would be willing to put your school down on the list. Please contact Sherri Young at 415.762.2071 ext. 6 if interested.
Each student matinee performance has a limited amount of seats available. When evaluating applications, we take into account whether the school is a partner public school, school location and if it is in a underserved community, the percentage of student body participating in Federal Lunch Programs, grade level and if the production is appropriate for students in the age range, number of attendees, and the order in which the application is received.
